Luxe Ornament Tips

How do I inflate FUNBOY’s Luxe Ornaments?

An air-pump is required to inflate FUNBOY’s Luxe Ornaments. We have three pump options including: a standard low-pressure electric pump for pool floats or air beds, a FUNBOY E-Pump, or a FUNBOY Manual Pump. Never exceed 1.5 PSI.

How do I inflate with a standard electric pump (air bed or pool float pump)?

Remove the valve cap and press the center pin until it stays down (open). Hold the largest compatible nozzle firmly against the valve opening—it does not need to fit inside. Inflate until firm, but not hard.Remove the nozzle and quickly press the center pin once to release it and allow it to spring back up (closed). Then replace and tighten the cap. The pin must be raised to prevent air loss—the cap alone will not seal an open valve.

How do I inflate my ornament with a FUNBOY E-Pump?

Insert the pump fitting into the valve and twist to lock it in place. This automatically opens the valve. Inflate until firm, but not hard. Hissing during inflation is normal. Air trapped between the inflatable core and metallic outer layer escapes as the ornament fills. This does not indicate a leak and will gradually stop as inflation is completed. Remove the pump fitting and confirm the center valve pin is raised (closed), then replace and tighten the cap. If the pin remains pressed down, push it once to release it and allow it to spring back up. The pin must be raised to prevent air loss—the cap alone will not seal an open valve.

How do I inflate with a FUNBOY Manual Pump?

Insert the air pump fitting and twist to lock which opens the valve automatically. Use the manual air pump to inflate. Depending on the size of the Luxe Ornament, this will require varying amounts of pumps/time to manually inflate. Inflate until firm, but not hard. If your manual pump has a PSI gauge, it likely won’t register until 5PSI and this product’s proper max inflation is 1.5PSI. Use touch to determine when fully inflated. Why do I hear air escaping near the valve or on the body of the ornament?

Vent holes release trapped air between the inner inflatable core and mirrored outer layer. This is normal during and shortly after inflation. Do not cover these holes. Airflow stops once the trapped air escapes.

Why is my ornament still wrinkled?

Inflate until firm and most wrinkles disappear. Minor wrinkles may relax after 20–30 minutes. Do not add extra air to force out every wrinkle.

Air is escaping from the actual air valve. How do I close it?

Make sure the center valve pin is in the raised (closed) position. If it’s pressed down (open), push it once to release it and allow it to spring back up. Then replace and tighten the valve cap.

Why does my ornament look softer overnight when outdoors?

Cold air contracts, which can make the ornament appear deflated. Add air as needed without exceeding 1.5 PSI. When moving it somewhere warmer, release air if needed to prevent overinflation.

How do I keep it secure outdoors?

Use every bottom D-ring and the included ropes and stakes. Extend ropes outward at approximately 45° and secure without overtightening. Check daily and after weather changes. Do not use in strong winds or severe weather.
